Olivia is a successful career woman whose life has been thrown off-kilter by her husband's cancer and consequent death. Now she has to handle new circumstances, balance the demands of her work-life dealing with students and staff at the university, and the strain of family demands and loneliness. However, alongside these struggles come surprising beginnings of wonder and love. Chance meetings with her long-time neighbor turn out to be a lot more than she expected, and the relationship that develops surprises both of them. Author Dahlia Moore explores the intricate world of extended family life, and the pressures the complexity of life creates for individuals who strive for happiness and fight disease and aging. We experience many inadvertent encounters throughout our lives. It is rarely clear which of these will be meaningful and which will be insignificant. However, willingness to open up to the unexpected and courage to explore new avenues may lead to happiness.
