This quantitative research focuses on a case study, which aims to draw conclusions and reflections on the use of new technologies in adult students belonging to the formal education system. It was conducted in a locality in a context of social vulnerability in the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, proposing two main objectives: the first was to measure the use of new technologies in the context of social vulnerability in formal education in adults. The second was to know the relationship between the use of educational digital tools and recreational/social digital tools in the context of social vulnerability in adults. In this way, the present research makes a significant contribution to a little explored field, that of andragogy and the use of new technologies. Finally, it is concluded that new technologies in these contexts are used for learning, managing to enhance processes related to this. As a reflection, it can be affirmed that new technologies are fundamental for the development of andragogy.
