Looking into the distant future is fun and sometimes baffling when we look back and think of the way things have changed. Independents of AD 2101 is an attempt to capture the life of a young man getting ready to embrace the independence he has been dreaming of since his childhood. In a society that has abandoned the institution of families, his curiosity to find his parents is taking him to unexpected terrains. Independents of AD 2101 gives a sneak peek into the technology and politics that would control and guide the lives of people, while giving insights into how the world got there over the centuries and why. The story is a collection of prophecies and predictions that deviate from forecasts of management gurus and corporations. It is a story meant to provoke the readers' imagination and encourage everyone to ask themselves: what is in stock for my children, grandchildren and future generations?
