This index was compiled using several sources: the index of wills at the Baltimore City Court House, a partial index to the wills compiled by the late Annie Walker Burns, the original Will Books at the Hall of Records in Annapolis, and the abstracts of Will Books, numbers 4 through 23, compiled by Mrs. Burns at the Maryland Historical Society. This work contains approximately 8000 entries, giving the name of the testator, the year the will was probated, and the book and page number on which the will can be found.
