The seven decades of India-Nepal relations are unique in the arena of International Relations. The two countries share not only borders, but have linkages that range from linguistic, religious to cultural. Yet, the two countries have had their share of contestations. Based on the political economic investigation the book argues that India and Nepal have not obtained the desired mutual benefits despite shared cultures and friendship. The lack of democratic accommodation in bilateral relations hampered the potential dividents. With cooperation and mutual understanding added with elements of democratization and transparency both stand to gain a great deal of benefit for their respective people.
