India: Preliminary Demography of 2011 Population Census presents a detailed analysis of the provisional data of India's 2011 population census that have been released recently. The focus of the analysis is on the distribution of selected demographic variables across administrative units within the country including population density and age and sex composition of the population. A demographer by profession is PhD in Statistics and holds Post Graduate Diploma in Population and Development from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has worked as Director, Population Resource Centre, Madhya Pradesh and Professor Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi. Currently, he is Professor at the 'Shyam' Institute, Bhopal.
