A gripping, romantic novel set in the exotic Southwest, Indian Time tells the story of two people caught in a clash of cultures. In a story filled with ancient myths and legends, perhaps it's only natural that Eastern divorcee, Liz Sawyer, should find these rituals strange in spite of her very real attraction for Indian artist, Clyde Hawkins, also known as Eagle Feather. Clyde is equally drawn to Liz, but his mentor, the seemingly friendly Maria Valdez, complicates things. Maria's talk of ghosts and fetishes disturbs Liz, but she looks forward to the Corn Dance, put on at Clyde's pueblo. She finds the dance odd, if interesting, but when her young daughter, Cokey, impulsively joins the dancers, Liz yanks her away. Clyde sees this and decides he and Liz could never make a go of it. Liz is crushed, but then Clyde writes her a note asking her to meet him in a nearby cabin. She goes to the cabin, but to her dismay it's not Clyde who meets her there. In an unbelievable turn of events, Liz realizes she must fight for her life against an unforgiving opponent. Will she succeed in spite of it all?
