Human values are the values of life. The doctrine of Purusartha in Indian philosophy specifies a schema of values based on the nature of human existence and the goal of human life. Human existence is physico-psycho spiritual. It is worth nothing that body, mind and spirit continuum. Purusartha is the epitome for classical Indian ethics and the whole of classical Indian philosophy. The concept of purusartha is an integrated approach to the value system. Man is a social animal whose development depends upon not only on the development of one's individual life but it also includes one's social life. The philosophical enquiry into values is not meant for only theoretical enquiry but it results at the "experience of value".
