Jawahar Bhagwat, PhD is a former nuclear submariner of the Indian Navy who served as Captain of INS Chakra (Akula-II class submarine) and INS Shisumar(Type 209 class submarine). He served in the Indian Navy for more than 25 years in a wide variety of appointments. He completed his PhD, Arts (History) in December 2019, from the University of Mumbai.
