Professor (Dr.) Maruthi T.R. earned his L.L.B. from Kuvempu University in 1998, followed by an M.A. and LL.M. from the University of Mysore. He completed his Ph.D. in 2007 with a dissertation on the "Legal Regime of the Seabed" and is now a Professor of International Law at the University of Mysore.
