Indicators of Economic Recession and the Construction Industry

The purpose of this book is to examine the interactions between the indicators of economic recession and the building construction industry in a developing country. Nigeria was selected for the study. In 2016, Nigeria's real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate in the first quarter was -0.36% while the second quarter was -2.06% indicating economic recession. The study adopted quantitative research approach by eliciting primary data through questionnaire. The results showed that there is a close link between the indicators of economic recession and the building construction industry.

Autor

Oludolapo Ibrahim Olanrewaju is a young multitalented Quantity surveyor, researcher and programmer born into a family of eight as the seventh child. He hails from Ikenne local government in Ogun state. He graduated with a First class and emerged the best graduating student in department of Quantity surveying for 2017 set at FUTMinna.
