The book "Indigenous Churches" by Dr. Bob Green is written from the perspective of a missionary church planter. Having planted churches in the USA and Latin America, Dr. Green writes from 48 years of experience. He seeks to provide the church planter with answers to questions concerning "How To start and Establish an Autonomous (Indigenous) Church." There is information that deals with the primary considerations of "who, where, what and what not." This book contains details concerning the Biblical principles and the pattern for church planting followed by the Apostles. Church planters should be sent from a local church to a local church. Churches should be planting churches. There are sample documents such as Statements of Faith, Constitutions and By-laws. The writer has made every effort to provide a manual for beginning and establishing new Indigenous (self-governing, self-supporting and self-propagating) New Testament Baptist Churches.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Dr. Bob C. Green was born in Fort Pierce, Florida in 1943 to Bob and Edris Green. He came to the Lord in 1955 when he was 12 years of age through the ministry of Fairlawn Baptist Church. He surrendered to preach the Gospel when 16 years old. He graduated from Dan McCarty High School in 1961. In 1967 he graduated with a B.A degree with a major in Bible from Tennessee Temple College. Brother Green has since earned a M.A. and two D.Min. Degrees. He and Patsy (Deitz) of Asheville, North Carolina were married July 15, 1965. In January of 1967 they were approved by Baptist International Missions, Inc. (BIMI) to serve as missionaries in Central America. They served for a number of years doing church planting in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico and ultimately in El Salvador. Nine of the most productive years were those when they served in El Salvador. They served as a part of the IBERO Bible Institute and as co-founders of the Miramonte Baptist Church in San Salvador. During the nine very productive years they served six years in San Miguel, El Salvador and founded and established the Tabernáculo Bautista de San Miguel. The two churches in El Salvador have reproduced themselves, under national leadership and have planted many dozens of daughter churches, mostly in the eastern sector of the country. Brother Green is also a pilot and aviation (A&P) mechanic. He used the aircraft as a tool for evangelism, church planting, transportation for Christian workers and emergency medical flights. From 1984 until 1988 Brother Green served as the Director of the recently defunct ministry of Missionary Aviation Institute previously located on the property of the Sugar Valley Airport in Farmington, North Carolina. The Greens have also served among the millions of Spanish speaking people living in the USA. They have assisted English speaking churches in establishing Spanish ministries to reach Hispanics with the Gospel of Christ. On several occasions they were involved in either establishing autonomous Hispanic churches or assisting other missionaries in the effort. They started and established the Iglesia Bautista Getsemaní in Hendersonville, North Carolina while serving in the USA ministries of BIMI. The church is now pastored by the Rev. Carlos Fuentes. They continue to serve Christ as missionaries with BIMI. Brother Green is Hispanic Ministries Representative and Aviation Ministries Director. Bob and Patsy live in Harrison, Tennessee. The Greens have two children, Susan and Timothy and six grandchildren: Hannah (and husband Mitch), Danielle, Joshua, Hunter, Logan, and Natalie.
