Tahu Kukutai (Ng¿ti Tiipa, Ng¿ti M¿hanga, Ng¿ti Kinohaku, Te Aup¿uri) is Professor of Demography at Te Ngira Institute for Population Research, The University of Waikato, Aotearoa New Zealand. Chelsea Gabel is Métis from Rivers, Manitoba, and a citizen of the Manitoba Métis Federation. She is an associate professor in the Indigenous Studies Department and the Department of Health, Aging and Society at McMaster University, Canada.
