The development of small as well as medium size Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers is a major issue in present era; because they constitute a substantial proportion of Indian population and leading life with low standard of living. Therefore, present study is focusing on the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes with respect to implementation of Indira Jala Prabha Programme through NABARD and MGNREGA programmes aiming at improving livelily hood and enhancing living standards. The study aims to know about-what are the socio-economic conditions of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes farmers in study area and whether the programme of Indira Jala Prabha Programme empowering Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes through its functioning and to know how the Indira Jala Prabha programmes effectively implemented in the study area. With this programme functioning to realize, in which and at what extent the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes beneficiaries are got benefited andimproved their living standards.
