Indiscipline among senior primary school children ( grades 6 and 7 pupils) is sometimes a cause for concern for most classroom practitioners. If not well taken care of, it negatively impacts on the quality of teaching and learning processes that go on in the classroom. There are varied reasons for indiscipline that range from teachers' personality, teachers' choice of a teaching method, power bases to maintain class discipline to family and societal causes of indiscipline. On the other hand, there are also ways and means to control indiscipline at class level. Teachers need to give a big heart to every child they teach. They also need to vary their teaching methodology in order to break the monotony of learning on the part of the pupils. Futhermore, teachers are expected to employ varied sources of power bases at their disposal to maintain class discipline. These include expert, legitimate, coercive, reward and referent power. Lastly, the way how the family, teachers and society moulds children determines the manner in which the children behave at school.
