The core of working together in management teams is based on the way in which team members in a management team are able to clarify the images they form of the management issue, the context of the management issue and the goals they pursue, and to combine them together in mutual consultation. In this book analytical tools are introduced for this purpose. We start with the concepts of 'image' and 'image space' and then these two concepts are combined with the control theory from system theory, the work of Weick and Morgan on image formation and the work of Isaacs on conducting a dialogue.
