The latter tradition has been reflected in the countless attempts at community building in the United States, especially the community movements of the 1960s, which were fueled by the movements for civil rights, women's rights, and the identity movements of that period. Dr. Mark Kruger is an Assistant Professor at St.Louis Community College-Forest Park, where he teaches in the Humanities and Social Sciences division. Mark has also taught at Washington University and Saint Louis University, and has lectured at the University of Ghana, the University of Havana and Universidad de San Luis in Madrid.
