Autorenporträt
Adjunct Prof. Yves-Simon Gloy studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen, where he also did his doctorate and wrote his habilitation. Since 2013, he has been an adjunct professor at Clemson University, SC, USA. In 2014, he won the BMBF young talent competition "Interdisciplinary Competence Building" with the project "SozioTex - New Socio-Technical Systems in the Textile Industry". From 2015 to 2017, he was a member of the institute management, Institute for Textile Technology, RWTH Aachen. From 2018 to 2019, he was the Executive Scientific Director at the Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI), Chemnitz. He has been working as a consultant for Gherzi van Delden GmbH in Berlin since 2020. In addition, as an entrepreneur, he develops solutions for the sustainable and customized manufacture of textiles 4.0.
