Studies on Entrepreneurship, Structural Change and Industrial Dynamics
Tessaleno Campos Devezas is Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Electromechanics of the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, where he teaches and researches in the field of Materials Science and Technological Forecasting and leads the research groups of Engineering Materials and Technological Forecasting of the Research Unit C-MAST (Centre for Mechanical Aerospace Science and Technologies). He is a member of the World Future Society, World Futures Studies Federation and International Kondratieff Foundation and member of the Advisory Board of the periodical Technological Forecasting & Social Change. Since March 2011 he serves as consultant to Brazilian Space Program at the IAE-DCTA (Brazilian Institute of Space Activities), in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil. IIn 2004 he was awarded with the Silver Kondratieff Medal by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences for his written contributions for the understanding of the Kondratieff waves. He is the author/co-author of more than 60 scientific papers published in several international scientific periodicals and 9 books. His publications exhibit a score of about 1100 citations. João Leitão is assistant professor at UBI, lecturing on entrepreneurship and economics for undergraduate and graduate economics, engineering, communication sciences, marketing and management students. He is associate researcher of the CEG-IST, University of Lisbon. He is co-author of fourteen books on bench-marking, human capital, clusters, cooperation networks, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education, firm growth, innovation, competitiveness and quality of life. His work has been published in several indexed journals, such as, Research Policy, Industrial and Corporate Change, Service Industries Journal, Journal of Evolutionary Economics, Innovation: Management, Policy & Practice, International Journal of Technology Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, International Review on Public and non-Profit Marketing, International Journal of Business Excellence, International Journal of Technology Transfer and Commercialization, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing, South African Journal of Information Management, International Research Journal of Finance and Economics, Actual Problems of Economics and Revista Portuguesa de Estudos Regionais. He is member of several editorial boards, namely, Journal of Small Business Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research, Revista Portuguesa e Brasileira de Gestão and Revista Portuguesa de Marketing. His research interests include entrepreneurship, innovation, and public policies. Askar Sarygulov is the head of R&D Department of Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and a senior fellow at the Centre for Fundamental Research, St. Petersburg State University of Economics. He is the author and co-author of five books on the structural dynamics of macroeconomic system, cyclic processes, economic inequality, nonlinear models of economic dynamics. His work has been published in indexed journals such as the Doklady Mathematics, Social Evolution & History, Economic policy, Economics and Mathematical Methods, Problems of Economics. From 1990 to 1997 he was an economic adviser to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and a member of the Government in areas such as foreign trade, foreign investment and management of state property. His research interests are in the structure of the modern economy, new technologies and industrial policy, the social consequence of structural changes in the economy.
