The outlook for an emerging industry is a relevant issue for companies and for industry investors, as future trends determine firms' behavioural strategies. The author examines the brewing industry to identify future development trends, investment attractiveness and prospects for industry concentration. The book focuses on examining how the industry reacts to changes in business activity in Russia in comparison with developed markets. A model of non-price competition in an oligopolistic market is presented, which may be used for strategic decision making by firms in growing and especially in fast-growing industries. The premise of the model reflects the specifics of the Russian brewing industry. The author also touches upon the problems of state regulation of the Russian beer market, in particular, restrictions on advertising in comparison with the experience of other countries. The results of the work are of interest to investors and Russian brewing companies, and may be taken into account when forming a development strategy. The developed model can be used in the educational process: courses in microeconomics, economics of industrial markets
