Reproductive and child health care in India is an essentials component of its basic health care services. These services are provided at free of cost in public health centers. The aim of reproductive and child health programme of Government of India is to bring all the RCH services within easy reach of the community. Despite from several government efforts there is large differentials found in utilization of RCH services across the states of India. These studies focus the Inequality in Utilization of Reproductive and Child Health Services in Districts of Jharkhand. Rational behind choosing this topic was utilization of reproductive and child health services is very low in the state of Jharkhnad. This state is one of the high focused states under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and came into existences on 15 November 2000. The states also face the more than half of the girls child married before legal age of 18 years. Most of the districts in the state are influence by Naxalites which are challenging for the Government machinery to function properly. Female literacy was 39% (census 2001) it is very low compared to other states.
