El Dr. Intenbergs se graduó de la Escuela Secundaria de Vai¿ode en 1957 y de la Facultad de Física y Matemáticas de la Universidad de Letonia en 1962. Realizó su actividad profesional en la Academia de Ciencias de Letonia durante muchos años y allí se doctoró en Física. Completó su vida laboral en la Universidad Técnica de Riga. como profesor de Matemáticas Superiores.
