Dr. Udayar s research determined that student character education had no direct influence on student academic achievement. However, student character education was determined to have a positive influence on student behavior. Significantly, good student behavior had a positive influence on student academic achievement. The research compared data from 55 Texas middle schools that implemented character education programs with data from another 55 Texas middle schools without such programs.

Autor

Rev. Dr. Santiago Udayar has been pastor of parishes in the Diocese of San Angelo, TX, since 2003. In India, starting in 1989, he served four high schools as teacher, assistant principal, and principal. His seven degrees include a doctorate in Educational Leadership, received in 2008 from Tarleton State University, Stephenville, TX, USA.
