She has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Sergipe (1997), a postgraduate qualification in Education and Civil Engineering. Master's and PhD in the Environmental Development Programme (PRODEMA/UFS), following the same line of research. Full professor at the Federal Institute of Sergipe (IFS) in the area of Civil Construction.
