The psychological contract framework is the sum of the employer-employee relationship with a focus on the entire relationship and expectations in the workplace versus traditional compensation issues. A recent study found that two-thirds (67.7%) of their sample of Hispanic Business Professionals reported an unfair or violated psychological contract. Other studies found that 50% of racioethnic unspecific samples feel their contract was violated. As with any minority group, issues of great importance surround individual s perceptions of discrimination, perceptions of fairness, perception of status within that group and the changing nature of these perceptions. The present study focuses on issues of the Hispanic Professional s perception of psychological contract fairness, level of acculturation, perception of discrimination and the nature of these relationships.
