If given an opportunity, youth can be a great potential for improving development efforts and providing meaningful livelihood opportunities through the establishment of SMMEs. These SMMEs can provide livelihood opportunities for many. And if there were ever an area where young people were the leaders of not only the future, but also of today, it is the emerging information society. If empowered, these youths could provide solutions to the employment challenges that are so severe. One way of empowering the youth is by finding out the information that they really need in running their businesses so as to provide relevant information services to them. This book is as a result of a study that sought to find out the major constraints to the growth of the SMMEs in the ICT sector, the information needs of these SMMEs and their current source of information. About their current source of information, the study sought to find out whether the information that they received were relevant and adequate. Finally, the study sought to find out whether availability of information was important in running business enterprises.
