Autorenporträt
Mariano F. Urresti es licenciado en Historia. Nacido en Santander, ha sido asesor del Consejo de RTVE en Cantabria. Es autor de veintidós libros sobre enigmas históricos, entre los que destacan Los Templarios y la palabra perdida, La vida secreta de Jesús de Nazaret, Colón el Almirante sin rostro, Las claves perdidas del Camino de Santiago o Felipe II y el secreto de El Escorial. Es coautor de libros como Gótica o Las claves del Código Da Vinci. Ha ganado el III Premio Finis Terrae de Ensayo Histórico con su obra La España expulsada, en la que profundizaba sobre la huella del Islam y de la Sefarad judía en la España medieval. Entre otras, ha publicado las novelas Las violetas del Círculo Sherlock, La tumba de Verne y Agatha escribía con sangre (esta novela fue una de las cinco seleccionadas por el Festival Internacional de Cine de Sitges 2017 para poder ser llevada a la gran pantalla). Recientemente, ha visto la luz su Crónica negra del Grial y ¿Apocalipsis? Con Almuzara ha publicado Los fantasmas de Bécquer, Los templarios y el secreto de las catedrales, El enigma Dickens (con el que obtuvo el Premio Jaén de Narrativa), y La Pintora de bisontes rojos.
