In this book are many quotations from children gathered over a 39-year career in my Little Seeds Preschool. These quotes are presented as fresh as they were uttered. In this book are many quotations from children gathered over a 39-year career in my Little Seeds Preschool. These quotes are presented as fresh as they were uttered. After going through thousands of quotes the ones most relevant to the title and most witty and/or humorous were selected. As I compiled them and thought of these beautiful children who have blessed my life and brought me incredible joy and satisfaction, I recall one quote that continues to guide my passion and devotion to children. One child (when asked to complete a difficult task) said: "Mrs. Radovanovic, you must remember we are just little people." The book is written for people who wish to slow down and laugh after reading these anecdotes. Unfortunately, parents often forget many of the funniest moments while kids are little, but maybe these gems will help you remember a humorous story that had been long forgotten. Children are by nature intuitive, curious and wise, with uncluttered minds and intellectual acuity. They bring to life freshness, joy and wonder missing from the busy world of adults. When we look into a child's eyes, we see eternity. This book is dedicated in memory of Hiroshi Higashino, a Little Seed who lost his battle with cancer and to many other my preschoolers who fought cancer. Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to leading hospitals and research centers working to eradicate cancers in children. The chapters are arranged in alphabetical order by the titles and can be read randomly. I sincerely hope that these quotes will bring you a lot of pleasure and warm your heart and your soul. Autorenporträt
Connie Radovanovic, one of seven children, grew up on a cotton and cattle farm in northeastern Louisiana. Her childhood was carefree, slow and simple, yet one where hard work and responsibility were parental expectations. A favorite pastime was roaming the land - woods, pastures, ponds and creeks among the cattle, chickens, pigs and horses. Life was unscheduled for the children after the work was completed. They were free to play or to walk to a friend's house, at least a mile away. She received a B.A. in history and English from Louisiana Tech and taught high school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After several years of teaching, she returned to graduate school at the University of Alabama, where she earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in European history. Before completion of her doctorate, she taught American history and Western civilization. At IUPUI in Columbus, Indiana, she taught Western civilization, American history and Russian history.
