Allan M. Hoffman is past president of Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, an affiliate of The Chicago School Education System (TCS ES). He earned his B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Hartford and received two M.A. degrees and an Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University, where he was named a Kellogg Fellow. Stephen D. Spangehl is vice president for Accreditation Relations at the Higher Learning Commission. He has served as a member of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program's Board of Examiners, on the Education and Training Board of the American Society for Quality, and on the board of the National Consortium for Continuous Improvement. He earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from New York University and his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
