One of the issues with food security and world hunger in many nations is post-harvest loss. Reducing various horticultural crops loss and waste is one of the most important issues for feeding the world's population sustainably in the future because various horticultural crops loss can reach up to 50%. Fruit and vegetable post-harvest losses are mostly caused by handling and storage after harvest, processing steps, distribution, and consumption.
