Studied structures of economy are the institutional sectors, performing and funding R&D activities. The main tasks of the study are: - Developing a concept of public impact on renovating the national economy, based on creating, adopting and using new knowledge; - Developing instruments for practical application of the concept; - Improving and approbating the methodic instruments for monitoring and analyzing the renovating at macroeconomic and firm level; - Determining the level and factors of increasing the innovativeness of the national economy; - Outlining priorities for public impact on increasing the innovativeness of the Bulgarian economy.
