We report the growth of ultra small InSb nanowires through vapour-liquid-solid (VLS) mechanism by chemical vapour deposition method. The growth parameters are optimized to produce uniform and ultra small nanowires. The structural properties of the grown NWs are studied through scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Morphological features are studied through atomic force microscopy. Each NW contains a nano-sized Au catalyst at the bottom most end of the wire indicating the tip-growth mode from VLS mechanism.
