He is the author of many books, including The Culture of Pain. Dr. Scott M. Fishman is Chief of the Division of Pain Medicine and Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of California, Davis, and President of the American Pain Foundation. He is the author of several books, among them Listening to Pain and The War on Pain.
