The genesis of Inside Gloria was a concept periodically flirting with by the author for over two decades. Choosing it over other storylines queued as potential book candidates, the advent of turning 48 finally moved him into incorporating his theme into his first novel. First published for Amazon's Kindle, he admits he let Inside Gloria sit lost in a vast market of electronic data giving it little attention until a local TV meteorologist expressing the influence of Hurricane Gloria on his entry into the weather field nudged him into formatting his book into its present paperback version. A licensed full-time electrician by trade, RJ Boucher considers himself both a science and history enthusiast. Referencing the latter, he explains: "My foremost goal is to entertain the reader while at the same time give them a glimpse into a dangerous Cold War environment. The deeds of today are often the result of the seeds planted during those several decades, the present Middle East equation being no exception. The Cold War defined the United States for over 45 years, and for whatever reason someone might choose just to dismiss such a significant period as irrelevant is unfortunate."
