Based on the example of the Condensation Cube (1962-65), work of the German artist Hans Haacke (b. 1936), the state of liquidity of the substance, its qualities and its characteristics within space and time are studied. Liquidity is designated to major allegorical structure in the specific work of art which features the prototype structure, the concept model of Haacke's strategy. The elements of liquidity are linked to Haacke's two works to follow: Shapolsky et al Manhattan, Real Estate Holdings as of May 1, 1971 (1971) and DER BEVÖLKERUNG (2001), which are examined in relation to the conditions under which they where produced, the difficulties they encountered during their exposition and the reactions of the competent authorities, parties and institutions which are pertained.
