28 years ago my parents immigrated from Syria to Germany, with aspirations and hope, creating space to love and giving to us what they were not given. Growing up with four sisters, I am still developing a voice on my own. Over the course of three years I have kept a pen and paper with me, experiencing life and how its pouring words into me which, too heavy to carry on my own, found their way out. What you are about to read does not say much about me, but about how life presented itself to me.
