Nick Fleming has been a leading contributor to sustainable development for over 20 years, utilising his background in engineering, a PhD in sustainable water infrastructure, and qualifications and experience in strategic business leadership. He brings diverse industry experience, working internationally across sectors including water, transport, mining, defence and natural resources. Nick has an aptitude for finding elegant solutions to complex problems, often working at the Board and executive level to develop pragmatic strategies and designs to sustain businesses, projects and communities. He is widely published and a recognised speaker. Nick was the Chief Sustainability Officer of Sinclair Knight Merz before becoming the Director of Business Innovation at Jacobs, also sitting on several industry bodies fostering sustainable infrastructure. He now operates his own firm enabling public and private sector clients to drive productivity, progress and prosperity using practical strategic methods and design thinking. Susanne Cooper has over 25 years of experience leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams and senior levels of organisations to achieve practical but innovative change for better outcomes, backed by technical rigour and incisive thinking. She is a recognised facilitator of innovative approaches to complex problems. Susanne combines her technical expertise in environmental science with the insights gained from strategy and policy development and project design at all levels of government and with private corporations across most industry sectors including water, natural resources, mining, energy, transport and chemicals. Susanne is currently a principal sustainability and innovation strategist for Jacobs.
