Autorenporträt
Madison Brown's world of dance began at the age of 2. Her parents enrolled her in dance class because they thought it would help her adjust to a new city. She does not remember much about practices or her first dance recital, but her parents laugh uncontrollably every time they talk about it. Like most 2 year olds, she had no idea what the dance was supposed to be during the performance, but instead of looking behind the curtain at the teacher to figure out the steps, she just danced to the beat of her own tune. And she has been dancing ever since. By the age of 5 she had moved three times...3 preschools, 3 houses, 3 sets of friends and one love of dance!!! It was at 5 years old that her parents enrolled her in dance in Wellington, FL. She really liked to dance and her ballet instructor told her if she worked really hard she could be a really good dancer. She took her advice and set a goal of becoming a principal ballet dancer at American Ballet Theater. While she loves the art of classical ballet, she also enjoys contemporary dance and her passion for this art form has grown through the years. In her quest to become a principal ballet dancer, she has won a few awards and achieved some designations in the world of classical ballet and contemporary dance: Among her greatest accomplishments is her appearance on the 2nd Season of NBC World of Dance, NYCDA National Winner - Mini, Junior, and Teen, and National Training Scholar for the American Ballet Theatre in NYC for the past 5 years. She is currently a student at the Jackie Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre in NY.
