In this book, you can expect an anthology of original poems; some are thought provoking, sensual, lustful, educational, and spiritual; they speak to the alter egos of every human being. Some will make you laugh, cry, and think deeply about the meaning, while others will challenge and perplex you. Victor Micah James is the author's alter ego the author. When you think of alter egos, consider Peter Parker/Spider Man, Bruce Wayne/Bat Man, or Clark Kent/Superman. Two spiritual matriarchs raised him in the first decade of his life. Over the next decade due to domestic violence, he lived with his single-parent mother, an alcoholic and lesbian, whom he loved and endeared. The exposure to the lifestyle was forces no child should have encountered, raped in his youth, sexually violated in his teens, exposure to drug use, given alcohol to drink, contact high from marijuana and seeing consumption, exposed to drag-queens, gays hitting on him, pistol-whipping of a man, and other forms degradation. Driven to understand human nature, during his undergrad, graduate, and post-graduate years in college, psychology, philosophy, sociology, theology, anthropology, and history courses taught him that humans have two natures. For instance, how do humans go to war, kill, and come home like nothing happened? We can own or disclaim the two natures, but they remain. The author writes this anthology from the backdrop of the history mentioned.
