Why do we seek to control events in our lives when so much is determined in the spiritual realm? Highlights the power of turning it all over to God. Our story derives from a journal kept over the course of one year, November 18, 2018-2019, a year of invasions into an otherwise idyllic lifestyle. The journey begins with an intruder's late night attack after three days without power during an ice storm. Our homestead sits on twenty-two beautiful rural acres, at the time without a generator. The assault continues for twenty-eight minutes. We alert 911 and remain on with the dispatcher the entire time. No police respond to our cries for aid, because of local political discourse. The invasion ends with exercising second amendment rights to defend self and family. Our campaign advances, using faith and prayer against PTSD and the broken justice system. The unseen becomes the battleground and holds the key to victory. As our hope in man disintegrates, our faith in God strengthens. A battle rages with breast cancer, the cancer industry, and conflicts with the oncologist from the initial cancer team, who plans radical surgeries and treatments. We question everything, everyone, demand a second opinion, and turn ever more to God in prayer for guidance.
