Over time, Brazilian Higher Education Institutions have sought to create an evaluation process that allows them to be effective and transparent, and that offers quick and clear answers to the academic community, which is no easy task. In this book, the author seeks to uncover how the evaluation process developed at Brazil's first Technological University, through the accounts of its mentors and the difficulties faced in implementing and improving its efficiency and negative points over the course of its management. It's a first step that needs to be constantly fed with new information and procedures, made easier today with the advances and speed of information technology. An important role has been given to the students with their expectations and needs, in a national system that is failing and lacking in new efficient and modern proposals. But even with all these difficulties there is 'light at the end of the tunnel' thanks to the persistence and dedication of a few in favour ofthe majority.
