This book examines the efficacy and otherwise of the Amnesty programme as a political strategy in addressing the age-long violent agitation in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The author brings to the fore the causative factors that precipitated and sustained the violent in the region. it argues that the amnesty programme though a good blueprint by the federal government has not totally address the fundamental challenges of the region.
