Sunflower is considered as exhaustive crop that¿s why adequate and balanced fertilizer is must for obtaining good yield. Application of fertilizers having nutrients viz., nitrogen, phosphorous and potash can increase sunflower growth and yield substantially. Intensive agriculture with fertilizer use is highly skewed towards nitrogen, has deprived the soil of other essential nutrients, especially P and K hence, balanced fertilizer application is important for high seed and oil yield.
