This teaching has long been neglected by education policy makers in favor of basic subjects such as languages and mathematics, even though common sense tells us that mastery of life skills is as important as mastery of other teaching subjects. With this in mind, in 2015, the Democratic Republic of Congo developed and tested an integrated life skills teaching project in selected primary schools.This study aims to evaluate the results obtained by this experimentation. The methodology of the evaluation consisted essentially in observing the execution of life skills lessons by the teachers of the experimental classes and in administering to the students a life skills pre-test and post-test.

MOUNTAGA LAM tem um mestrado em Ciências da Educação pela Universidade de Michigan, Ann Arbor (EUA) e um doutoramento em Ciências da Educação pelo Institut Supérieur de Formation et de Recherche Appliquée de Bamako (ISFRA, Mali). Actualmente é Professor na Universidade de Ciências Humanas de Bamako.
