A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the different weed control treatments in terms of weed management, growth and yield of lentil. The experiment consisting of ten treatments which were laid out in randomized block design with three replications. The treatment viz., quizalofop-ethyle @ 50 g. a.i. ha-1 POE + one hand weeding at 45 DAS (T8), pendimethalin @ 1.0 kg. a.i. ha-1 PE + one hand weeding at 30 DAS (T3), 25 percent higher seed rate + one hand weeding at 30 DAS (T10) and one hand weeding at 30 DAS (T3) can control weeds effectively in lentil. The yield potential of lentil can be realized either by use of quizalofop-ethyle @ 50 g. a.i. ha-1 POE + one hand weeding at 45 DAS (T8) or increasing plant density by 25 per cent higher seed rate + one hand weeding at 30 DAS (T10). Nutrients (N, P, K) uptake was highest and lowest under weed free (T2) treatments in crop and weeds, respectively followed by quizalofop-ethyle @ 50 g. a.i. ha-1 POE + one hand weeding at 45 DAS (T8) and 25 per cent higher seed rate + one hand weeding at 30 DAS (T10).
