She was born and grew up in Turkey. She holds a B.A in American Cultural Studies and an M.A in Linguistics from Syracuse University, NY. She taught English as a foreign language in Turkey, Japan and English as a Second Language in the United States.Her research interests are teaching languages through Drama and Culture.
