This book seeks to highlight the findings on the feasibility of utilising intellectual property assets in securing funds from financial systems in Zimbabwe, Africa. Focus is placed on patents, trademarks and copyrights as the leading intellectual property assets for the purposes of the work. The study also looks at the various ways of evaluating intellectual property assets and whether or not the given country makes provision for laws that enable intellectual property owners to securitize their intellectual property assets. Various international legal instruments are highlighted in a bid to find mutual ground for the harmonization of those legal instruments with the relevant legal frameworks in Zimbabwe in handling matters of securitization between financial systems and intellectual property owners at the time. There is use of primary and secondary data analyzed accordingly using SPSS Statistics. The study draws on different legal findings to arrive at the recommendations given, and to highlight areas where further policy research would be helpful.
