Bangladesh has failed to provide adequate and reasonable protection for the innovative and creative activities. In Bangladesh IP Rights violation is a common affair and it is relatively a new concept that's why Bangladesh doesn't have enough research or studies on Intellectual Property Rights issue. In this study, attempt has been made to analyze current scenario of the protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Bangladesh, examine the role of existing legal instruments and various Institutional activities regarding implementation of International obligations through domestic tools, identify the reasons behind the violation of Intellectual Property Rights in Bangladesh and highlight the prevailing legislation whether those are enough or not.

Dr. Md. Nayem Alimul Hyder, achieved LL.M from the Liverpool John Moores University (UK) and obtained LL.B (Hon¿s) from University of London (UK). Later on, he has earned Ph.D in Law form COU (UK). Moreover, he has got M.S.S degree from University of Dhaka. He is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Law & Justice at NEUB.
