Autorenporträt
Dr. Shilpa Suresh earned her Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Calicut University Kerala, a Master's in Communication Systems from Hindustan University Chennai, and a Ph.D. in Satellite Image Processing from National Institute of Technology Karnataka. Since 2012, she has been involved in teaching and research and has authored over 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals. She has also completed numerous certified online courses offered by various foreign universities and is an active reviewer of many recognized journals and conferences. Currently, she serves as a faculty member in the Department of Mechatronics at Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka, Surthakal, India. Her research interests include image processing, optimization algorithms, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. She was awarded the University first rank for her master's and the best Ph.D. thesis award at Ph.D. symposium, MIND 2019 at National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra. Shyam Lal received a Ph.D. degree in Digital Image Processing from the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi (Jharkhand), India in 2013, M. Tech Degree (ECE) in 2007 from NIT Kurukshetra, Haryana, India, and B.Tech Degree in EIE in 2001 from Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology (State Govt. Engineering college) Jhansi (U.P.), India. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the Department of Electronics Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore (Karnataka), India since December 18, 2013. He is the CEO and Director of M/S AIQUANTUM SMART SOLUTION PRIVATE LIMITED, STEP-NITK SURATHKAL, KARNATAKA, INDIA. He has over 20 years of teaching and research experience and has supervised 07 Ph.D. students, with currently 06 Ph.D. students working under his supervision in the areas of Medical Image Processing, Satellite Image Processing, IoT, and Cyber security. He has published around 100 research papers in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning with applications in medical image processing and satellite image processing. He received the Early Career Research Award (Young Scientist) in 2017 from the Science Engineering and Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, and the Young Faculty Research Fellowship Research grant in 2019 from Digital India Innovation, MeitY, Govt of India. He has also filed 01 Indian patent. His area of interest includes artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and optimization algorithms with applications in radiology image processing, histopathology image processing, satellite image processing, IoT and cyber security, and manufacturing industry. Mustafa Servet Kiran is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Konya Technical University, Konya, Türkiye. He received a Master's in computer engineering from Selcuk University, Türkiye and a Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from the same department, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. He has published more than 80 papers in different indexed international journals and conferences. Dr. Kiran currently works as head of the department of computer engineering and serves as Editor, Associate Editors and Editorial Board Member in Applied Soft Computing, International Machine Learning and Cybernetics, and Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. His research interests include swarm intelligence, evolutionary computation, image analysis, machine learning, and their industrial applications.
