Technological advancements in power electronics enable new applications to emerge with performance improvement in existing applications. These advancements largely rely on the control effectiveness; recent advancements in artificial intelligence techniques have given rise to soft computing approach for design and implementation of controllers. In this context, the fuzzy logic concepts coupled with artificial neural networks play an important role in developing the controllers. The success of fuzzy logic controllers seems to be mainly due to their ability to incorporate experience, intuition and heuristics into the system instead of solely relying on mathematical models. Power electronics circuits are physical circuits that can be mathematically modeled as controlled dynamics and, hence they can be suitably conformed for the application of existing control theories including the neuro-fuzzy control. Neuro Fuzzy Control for Performance Enhancement of Power Electronics Circuits contributes to knowledge a novel approach for designing mathematical model independent, adaptive and intelligent controller for the power electronics circuits.
